Insatalling ClockworkMod

ClockworkMod – is a custom recovery for Android phones and tablets that allows you to perform several advanced recovery, restoration, installation and maintenance operations on your Android device that aren’t possible with the stock recovery.

Requirments for installing ClockworkMod:

-fastboot enabled ROM [get it here]
-Android SDK [get it here]

ClockworkMod versions (latest is recomended):

recovery_clockwork_3.0.1.9_swift.img
recovery_clockwork_3.0.2.4_swift.img

Installing:

By fastboot

1. unzip the .img file to your android sdk installation folder (it'll be much easier)
2. run CMD with administrator rights
3. type in, (assuming you are installing version 3.0.2.4 and have android sdk installed in D:\android_sdk)

cd D:\android_sdk
fastboot -w
fastboot flash recovery recovery_clockwork_3.0.2.4_swift.img
fastboot flash reboot


By terminal emulator

1. put the .img file on the root of your sdcard
2. start terminal emulator on phone
3. type in, (assuming you are installing version 3.0.2.4)
[grand superuser permission when prompted]

su
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery_clockwork_3.0.2.4_swift.img


4.Wait till it finishes...

Accesing ClockworkMod:
press and hold CAMERA button and POWER button together for a while...

1. unzip the files to a folder
2. enable debugging mode and run the .bat
3. and follow the instructions

To root/unroot from your PC download this (extract the .zip file and use the .bat file)
To root/unroot from your phone download z4root (extract the .zip and install the .apk file)

step:2 Download KDZ_FW_UPD_EN
step:3 Connect your GT540 to the pc by USB and enable Debugging mode from settings
step:4 Launch KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
step:5 Set 'Type' as 3GQCT and 'PhoneMode' to DIAG
step:6 Browse out the kdz file and hit the 'Launch software update button'
step:7 When it displays 'finished' on the log box you can exit
